Полуунциал (Half-uncial)
    Упрощенная форма унциального письма, возникшая ок. VI в. из соединения форм унциала [средневековый рукописный шрифт] и римского курсива [бытовой шрифт периода римской империи]. Первая ступень перехода к минускульному письму [строчные буквы в древних рукописях]. Характерно появление верхних и нижних выносных элементов [верхний и нижний выносные эл-ты Ascender и Descender] букв, зачатков строчных [буква по размеру меньше заглавной, иногда отличаются по рисунку] букв.
